Why is the 'Available Time Slots' column blank?

The left column of 'Available Time Slots' is blank until you select the 'International Day of Peace' under Step 1 in the Sign Up Box. Click the mouse on the box beside 'Select a Vigil' - double click on 'International Day of Peace' - the Available Time slots will now appear.

Why is this necessary? At times a number of different Vigils are available, and participants have to check which vigil they want to register with.

How do I select My Vigil Times from the Available Time Slots?

Use the click and drag method. Click on the Available Time Slot you wish to choose and, holding the left button down, drag the cursor across to the top blank line in the 'My Vigil Times' column.

If you wish to sign up for different periods, for example: 09:00 AM to 10:00 AM:

  1. hold the shift key down
  2. click on the end time (10:00 AM)

You will then be able to drag all four time slots across to the 'My Vigil Times' column.

How do I select my time zone?

You do not need to select a time zone. All of the times that you see in the Sign Up form and the list of Participants are in the time zone your computer is set to (in other words your time zone). The app checks the time zone of your computer and displays all times in that time zone. So if you register to use the Great Invocation in Argentina at 2:00 AM, your name will appear on the list of a computer in New York (USA Eastern Time) at the equivalent time of 1:00 AM.

Why does my name not appear in the list of Participants?

There may be two problems here.

Firstly, after entering your name and country, and dragging selected Vigil Times over to the 'My Vigil Times' column you must be sure to complete the Sign Up process by clicking the button 'Sign Me Up!'.  When you click this button you should receive a message saying 'Thank You'.  Click 'OK' and the list of participants will appear after you refresh the page (see below).

Secondly - your name will not immediately appear on this list of Participants. You need to refresh the page. Either click 'refresh' on your browser OR click on the left arrow to take you to the previous page on your browser OR click 'Sign Up' at the top of the page. Now you will be back at the intial 'Sign Up' page . Click the box 'View Participants' and you will see your name in the time slot of your choice.

Why do the 'Available Time Slots' cover more than the 24 hours of World Invocation Day?

Time slots are given for 47 hours. The Vigil begins at midnight on the morning of Peace Day, September 21, in New Zealand and ends on the evening of midnight September 21 in American Samoa - a period of 47 hours.
